This is a preparation organiser, not an official DVSA assessment or a predicted result. Check the current test format and requirements on GOV.UK.

1. Set up your revision

I have checked the current car theory-test format and both pass marks on GOV.UK. I am using the current Highway Code and official syllabus sources. I completed a timed baseline mock without notes. I recorded wrong and guessed answers by topic in an error log. My plan gives separate time to multiple choice and hazard perception. I answer fresh questions instead of repeatedly memorising one mock.

3. Train hazard perception

I can explain the difference between a potential and developing hazard. I practise with varied moving clips, not only text examples. I click because visible evidence changes, not after a memorised delay. I look well ahead and scan junctions, pavements, mirrors and closing gaps. I review whether clicks were early, late or based on a clear cue. I avoid continuous clicking and repeated patterns. I reset my attention at the start of every clip. My recent hazard scores are consistently above the current pass mark.

4. Prove readiness with fresh practice

I complete mocks under quiet, timed, closed-book conditions. I pass fresh multiple-choice mocks consistently, with room above the threshold. I pass hazard practice consistently, not only one favourable set. I can explain why the safe answer is correct when wording changes. I revisit weak topics on another day to test long-term recall. I know one strong section cannot compensate for failing the other test part.

If your results remain well below the pass marks, extend the seven-day revision plan or consider moving the appointment if possible.

5. Final 24 hours and test day

I checked the current identification and appointment instructions. I confirmed the test-centre address, route, backup route and travel time. I packed what I need and set alarms. I will review my error log rather than start a new app or question bank. I will use only a few hazard clips as a short timing warm-up. I have planned a normal meal, an early finish and enough sleep. I will read every qualifier and flag uncertain multiple-choice questions. I will follow the centre’s instructions and use no revision material during the test.

When is a topic complete?

When you can recall the rule, apply it to unfamiliar examples and explain why your earlier mistakes were wrong.

What mock score means I am ready?

No private mock can guarantee a result. Look for consistent passes with a safety margin in both sections and verify current official thresholds.
